Nobody like leaky roofing. It can cause pooling in your house. Mold may even grow over time. In this video, you will learn how to fix a leaky shingle.
The first thing you will want to do is grab a ladder and make your way up to your roof. Please note that your ladder should be stable and firmly planted. Further, never step on the top step of the ladder. While on the roof, you are looking for any visible issues with the shingles. For example, you may notice that one shingle is dislodged. To fix this, gently hammer the adjacent shingles to loosen them a bit. You will have to remove the staples that are holding down that shingle. Now you can remove the old shingle and replace it with the new one. After that, hammer some nails or staples into the tar to keep the shingles in place. You may also want to use roofing cement to re-attach any shingles that you loosened. You can continue this process with any other missing or dislodged shingles. You will have your leak fixed in no time!
